President Al-Assad to AP: Washington not Ready to Join Russia in Fighting Terrorists in Syria

DAMASCUS, (ST)- The United States doesn’t have the will to fight “Jabhat al-Nusra” and “ISIS” terrorist organizations, because it believes that these terror groups are a card it can use to achieve its own agenda, President Bashar Al-Assad underscored in an interview with the Associated Press, broadcast on Thursday.

President Al-Assad said that Washington is not ready to join Russia in fighting terrorists in Syria. He added that the US-led Coalition’s airstrikes against the Syrian Arab Army positions in Deir Ezzor were intentional, noting that the White House claims about targeting a Red Crescent humanitarian aid convoy were groundless.
