President Al-Assad tasks Hussein Arnous to form the new government

President Bashar al-Assad on Tuesday issued decree no. 210 for 2020 tasking Hussein Arnous with forming the new government.
 
Mr. Arnous was born in Idlib in 1953 and he  graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering at Aleppo University in 1978. He chaired the Engineers Union in Idlib  in 1989-1994. He was Governor of Idlib in 2009-2011 and  Governor of Quneitra  in 2011. He also occupied the position of Minister of Housing between 2013- 2018 and Minister of Water Resources since 2018.
