President al-Assad: Syrian People Along With Army Are Able to Curb occupation forces Adventurous

DAMASCUS, (ST)-President Bashar al-Assad received on Tuesday  Iran’s Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salihi and the accompanying delegation.

Talks dealt with latest developments in the region and threats engulfed it in the wake of the last Israeli aggression on Syria.

“undoubtedly, Israel’s last aggression is a clear evidence that it is not only the Israeli occupation involved  in the ongoing events in Syria but also western and regional countries,” said President Bashar Al-Assad ,adding that Syria’s people and the brave   army, who achieved remarkable achievements as regards combatting terrorism and takfiri groups  ,are definitely able to curb Israel’s adventures which constitute one of the terrorism’s dimensions that hit Syria daily.

Talks also dealt with the current cooperation ties between Syria and Iran and both countries’ keenness to cement ties in all domains.

Salihi underscored that his country has denounced the flagrant Israeli aggression on Syria with strongest terms ,voicing his country’s firm stance to words Syria against Israel’s attempts to destabilize the region’s stability .

Salihi stressed that it is time to deter the Israeli occupation from doing such aggressive acts against the region’s nations.

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Salihi stated “the meeting with President Bashar Al-Assad was fruitful as  a number of bilateral issues were tackled .Most importantly, I have discovered that things are OK in Syria thanks to the Syrian Army who regained many areas. Hopefully, Syria will restore stability soon.

“Syria and Iran’s bilateral ties will continue in all fields .We are ready to increase aids to Syrians and rendering basic needs to them, “added Salihi.

“we are fully confident that Syria will emerge victorious as the right stands by the Syrian people and the Syrian government because it expresses the people’s will .Over the past two years,the people’s steadfastness and its support to the brave army and the government alike  have strongly contributed in Syria’s steadfastness the savage attack,” affirmed salihi.

Salihi expressed his optimism over Syria’s future as it moves on the right path heading for victory .Iran will not accept any foreign intervention in Syria .The Syrian are only authorized to decide their future.

The Zionist entity flagrant aggression on Syria unveils the solid coordination between Israel and the mercenaries who are fighting the Syrian people.

For his part, Foreign and Expatriate Minister Waleed al-Muallem  said that Salihi’s meeting with President Bashar Al-Assad was fruitful where viewpoints were identical thanks to the continuous consultations and coordination between the Syria and Iran leaderships  on the current situations.

In reply to a question on fears over waging war on Syria ,al-Muallem replied :”Syria has been facing an internal war for two years which is also a regional and international war targeting the Syria people, adding “we are familiar with this situation … we’re not concerned but we’re prepared to defend ourselves and our people.”

On the possibility of revitalizing the mutual defense  agreement with Iran, al-Moallem said :” everyone must know that before and during the crisis in Syria, Iran’s leadership and people stood alongside Syria to the extent  that we surpassed the mutual defense agreement,
