President al-Assad: when we are Strong at home, all externals Remain Outside

DAMASCUS,(S)_ President Bashar al- Assad, Regional Secretary of the Baath Arab Socialist Party today met with Baath Party leaderships in the governorates of Daraa,Sweida and Quneitra.

 “When we are strong at home, all that remain out is external,” President al-Assad stressed noting that the Baath party must work to change two phenomena within the community, namely extremism and lack of awareness.

The President added that targeting of the Baath party and the attempt to tarnish its image has been made since the beginning of the crisis, being the main foundation in the national action, calling on the party to think of aspects affected by the crisis and led to its imbalance.

President al-Assad stressed that the strength of any party, does not only lie in the number of its members, rather the expansion of its supporters.

“We continue the process of reconciliation because our main concern is to stop the bloodshed and the destruction of the infrastructure, “ the President emphasized, noting that the role of the Baath party in the ongoing reconciliation is very important, and that the Baathists enjoy a leading role in  their respective regions.

President al-Assad pointed out that the project of political Islam fell down, stressing that there should be no confusion between political activity and religious work.
