President al-Assad: Supporting National Reconciliation to stop bloodshed, Solve the Crisis by Syrian Efforts

DAMASCUS,(ST)_ President Bashar al- Assad met yesterday a number of dignitaries of rural Damascus who contributed to the reconciliation efforts in certain areas.

Discussions dealt with the steps that have been achieved in the reconciliation process in certain areas of rural Damascus and efforts to expand them to other parts of the province, following the positive effects of reconciliation on the conditions of citizens and their daily lives, where this experience proved success.

The President stressed that the state supports national reconciliations in all areas of, based on the desire to stop the bloodshed and the belief that the solution to the crisis, we face can not come through third parties, rather the fruit of the efforts of the Syrians, being the only eligible to find solutions to their problems.

President al-Assad expressed appreciation for constructive efforts made by the dignitaries in this regard despite hindering difficulties and confirmed the state institutions efforts to strengthening their role in consolidation and expansion of these reconciliations, pointing the importance of the efforts of dignitaries, not only in helping to accomplish reconciliations, but in the re- building of human thought by upholding morality and national principles, because this task is more difficult than reconstruction of what terrorism has wrecked.

For their part, the dignitaries stressed determination to further strengthen the process of national reconciliation, especially in light of the growing public awareness of its importance and determination to overcome hindering obstacles for serving all Syrians.
