President Al-Assad, Russia’s Putin exchange congratulations on the New Year

President Bashar Al-Assad and President Putin of Russia on Friday exchanged letters of congratulations on the New Year.

On this occasion, President
Al-Assad wished the Russian Federation all the best, prosperity and progreass.

“Russia’s great support for the Syrian people in their war on terrorism and their sought to maintain Syria’s unity and territorial integrity and for the just causes of the world expresses the values of the Russian Federation and indicates its keenness on defending peace and stability in the face of the policies of wars, hegemony and terrorism support,” President Al-Assad said in his letter.

He stressed Syria’s keenness on enhancing the relations between the two countries so that they witness continuous development.

For his part, President Putin expressed his best wishes to President Al-Assad and to the Syrian people, confirming his country’s firm support for the sovereignt, unity and territorial integrity of Syria. He also stressed Russia’s keenness on attaining stability in the country and supporting the reconstructoin process, wishing the Syrian people peace and prosperity.
