President Al-Assad receives Secretary-General of the Arab Red Crescent and Red Cross Organization

DAMASCUS, JUN.29, (ST)- President Bashar al-Assad received on Saturday the Secretary-General of the Arab Red Crescent and Red Cross Organization, Saleh bin Hamad bin Nasser Al-Tuwaijri, and his accompanying delegation, in the presence of Khaled Haboubati, the president of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent Organization and the current president of the 48th  session of the Arab Red Cross and Red Crescent Organization.

The meeting focused on the importance of joint Arab action, especially in the humanitarian field, and the need to strengthen it at a time when Arab countries are experiencing several crises and disasters, as well as strengthening support for humanitarian organizations to be able to reach all those affected and in need in a timely manner.

The meeting affirmed that the priority in humanitarian work must focus on supporting humanitarian responses in order to meet the needs of Syrians in the humanitarian and service sectors.
