President Al-Assad receives Russian parliamentary delegation headed by Dmitry Sablin

DAMASCUS, Dec.21, (ST)-President Bashar Al-Assad received on Tuesday Russian Parliamentary delegation headed by Dmitry Sablin, the Chairman of the Russian-Syrian Friendship Committee and Deputy Chairman of Defense Committee at the Russian Duma. 
 
The talks between the two sides dealt with the importance of enhancing parliamentary relations and the role of the members of parliament in cementing the relations between the two countries in all fields, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA). 
 
The agency added that the two sides asserted that the victories achieved by Syria and Russia in fighting terrorism must coincide with cementing popular ties and opening new horizons for cooperation for the common interest of the two countries’ peoples. 
 
The joint efforts being exerted to establish active cooperation between Syrian and Russian provinces and the work on signing bilateral agreements especially in the economic, social, humanitarian fields as well as expanding cooperation between Syrian and Russian educations institutes were also on the table.
