President Al-Assad receives messages of solidarity and support from leaders of Arab and foreign countries

Damascus, (ST) – President Bashar Al-Assad on Wednesday received more messages of solidarity and support from the leaders of Arab and foreign countries, over the earthquake that hit Syria.

Tunisian President Kais Saied expressed sincere solidarity and sympathy. He stressed Tunisia’s readiness to stand by the Syrian people in this disaster, and to provide aid and fraternal assistance to help it overcome the repercussions if this tragic event.

President Daniel Ortega of the Republic of Nicaragua also expressed his country’s solidarity with the Syrian people, and its support for the efforts of the Syrian institutions to overcome the effects of this disaster and provide relief to the affected areas.

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev offered President Al-Assad his sincere condolences and sympathy, asking God Almighty to bestow His mercy on the victims and to grant their families and relatives patience, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.

For his part, the President of the Republic of Abkhazia, Aslan Begania extended his sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the earthquake victims, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.

The President of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea Kim Jong-un, also offered heartfelt condolences. He expressed his confidence that the Syrian government and people will overcome the difficult circumstances resulted from this disaster.

Pope Francis of the Vatican expressed in his message to President Al-Assad his deep sorrow for the great loss of life left by the earthquake.

He said that he will pray for the souls of the victims to rest in peace and for solidarity efforts to provide relief to those affected by the disaster.

Karekin II, the Great Patriarch, Catholicos of All Armenians expressed his regret over the Syrian people’s exposure to this catastrophe, praying for peace to the souls of all the victims, and wishing speedy recovery to all the injured.
