President Al-Assad receives messages of condolence and solidarity with Syria from leaders of Arab and foreign countries
President Bashar Al-Assad on Thursday received messages of condolence and solidarity with Syria from heads of states and leaders of Arab and foreign countries, as well as from party and popular activities.
In two messages, the President of the Republic of Armenia Vahakin Khachaturian and the President of the Republic of Turkmenistan Sardar Berdimuhamedov expressed their condolences for the loss of hundreds of victims as a result of the devastating earthquake, extending their sincere feeling of solidarity and support to the families of the victims.
The President of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh Muhammad Abdul Hamid and the President of the Republic of Senegal Macky Sall also expressed to President Al-Assad their deep sorrow over the disaster that Syria has been exposed to, and they expressed confidence that the Syrian people are able to overcome the impacts of the disastere.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, offered President al-Assad his sincere condolences and sincere sympathy, asking God Almighty to bless the victims with mercy and inspire their families patience.
Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council in the Republic of Sudan, affirmed his country’s solidarity with Syria and its readiness to provide assistance to counter the effects of the earthquake.
Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister of the Sultanate of Oman, also sent a message to President Al-Assad, the families of the victims and the Syrian people, expressing his sincere condolences, and wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
President al-Assad also received many telegrams from Arab party and popular activities, including the Secretary-General of the General Conference of Arab Parties, the Secretary-General of the International Federation of Arab Trade Unions, the General Coordinator of the International Arab People’s Committee to Lift the Siege on Syria, and the General Coordinator of the Assembly of Popular Committees and Leagues in Lebanon. Senders of the telegrams expressed their sincere condolences and solidarity with the Syrian people, and they called for lifting the siege on Syria and speeding up aid to the Syrian people.
