President Al-Assad receives congratulations from Presidents of Lebanon, Democratic Korea and Abkhazia on winning presidential elections

 Presidents Michel Aoun of Lebanon, Kim Jong-Un of Democratic Korea and Aslan Bzhaniya of Abkhazia sent congratulatory cables to President Bashar Al-Assad on the occasion of his reelection as President of the Syrian Arab Republic. The leaders extended their heartfelt congratulations to President Al-Assad on his landslide victory in the presidential elections.

President Aoun expressed hope that efforts will continue in the coming period to perpetuate stability and security in Syria, so that the Syrian people live in prosperity and peace that will help the Syrian refugees return to their homeland to participate in its reconstruction.

He stressed the deep-rooted relations between Syria and Lebanon, and affirmed his will to enhance these relations to serve the interests of the peoples in the two countries.

 On his part, President Kim Jong-Un said that by holding presidential elections, the Syrian people and government confirmed their strong determination to protect the sovereignty and security of the country under the leadership of President Al-Assad and to foil all the aggressive schemes and conspiracies plotted against Syria by its enemies.

He wished President Al-Assad all success in building a prosperous Syria, asserting that the friendship and cooperation relations between Syria and Democratic Korea will witness more development in future.

In the same context, the Abkhazian President said that the results of “the Syrians’ voting in presidential elections  indicate their great support for your policy which aims at protecting the state’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.”

He hailed the results of his recent visit to Syria, stressing that they will reflect positively on consolidating bilateral ties between the two countries in all fields.
