President Al-Assad receives condolence and solidarity call from Abkhazian President

President Bashar Al-Assad on Thursday received a phone call from President Aslan Bzhania of Abkhazia in which the Abkhazian leader renewed his country’s condolences to and solidarity with Syria after the earthquake.

Bzhania stressed his confidence in the Syrians’ ability to overcome the ordeal, expressing his country’s readiness to support the efforts being exerted by the Syrian government and civil society to provide relief aid to people in the earthquake-affected areas.

President Al-Assad thanked the Abkhazian leader for supporting Syria, stressing that this support proves the deep relations between the two friendly countries and peoples.
