President Al-Assad stressed the importance of working to develop joint bilateral cooperation between Syria and Armenia to serve the common interests of the two peoples, especially since the Syrian Armenians are an organic part of the Syrian identity and social fabric, and therefore they form a bridge through which this cooperation can be developed.
President al-Assad considered that facing the challenges and changes taking place in the world requires building a network of relations and alliances between countries that share principles and interests, so that they form an active force that moves and works for the benefit of its people.
For his part, the guest minister conveyed to President Al-Assad the condolences of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and the Armenian people, stressing that Armenia is keen on standing by the Syrian people in this ordeal because it still remembers Syria’s support and assistance for Armenia when it was hit by a devastating earthquake in 1988.
