President Al-Assad receives “Al-Foutoua” Football Club team after winning the Syrian Football Premier League

In Syria, even sport triumphs over war and terrorism. Deir Ezzor province is a model in this equation as its football club team “Al-Foutoua”  has renewed its glory through its victory in this year’s Premier League following a terrorist war that targeted the Pearl of the Euphrates.

President Bashar Al-Assad affirmed , during his meeting with “Al-Foutoua” Football Club team, that the joy because of Al-Futua’s victory in the league championship is not only a sport joy, rather, it is a national joy because it represents a victory for the will and a defeat for the difficult circumstances, and therefore, the fans of the clubs shared the joy with the team players who won the respect and appreciation of all the Syrians.

President Al-Assad congratulated the team members for achieving the league championship and discussed with the club management, the Head of the General Sports Federation and the Head of the Syrian Football Association the challenges facing football in Syria in general and in Deir Ezzour in particular, especially in the light of the massive destruction caused by terrorism to various sports facilities.

President al-Assad encouraged the team’s players to maintain the advanced level they have reached, and shared with them their ideas and proposals to find solutions to the obstacles facing the development if football sport, especially in Deir Ezzor province.
