DAMASCUS, (ST)_President Bashar al-Assad received on Monday an Abkhazian delegation headed by Head of the Administration of the President Alkhas Kvitsiniya and Foreign Affairs Minister Daur Kove .
The talks dealt with bilateral relations and ways of developing these relations as well as the implementation of signed agreements.
The president expressed satisfaction over the opening of the Abkhazian embassy in Damascus, stressing that this step will enhance joint action and cooperation in all fields especially at an economic level.
On his part, Mr. Kvitsiniya affirmed his country’s keenness on building a strategic and economic partnership with Syria, pointing out that the goal of the Abkhazian delegation’s visit to Syria is to push cooperation relations forwards for the common interests of the two countries’ peoples.
Moreover, the two sides agreed on enhancing political coordination to face the countries that target the two countries’ peoples.
