President Al-Assad: need for genuine and sincere international cooperation against terrorism

 DAMASCUS, (ST)_ The region is living in a turning point situation and the direction is to be defined by the steadfastness of the Syrian People, the stances by friendly countries, as well as by other international sides’ conviction in the danger of terrorism against the regional and world stability and in the need for genuine and sincere  international cooperation against terrorism, outlined H.E. President Bashar Al-Assad.

In a Baath Arab Socialist Party (BASP) meeting with Tartous Branch, H.E. Al-Assad, the Regional Secretary General of  BASP pointed out that the crimes perpetrated by terrorist organization in Syria and by Daesh in particular came as a result of the aggressive and faulty policies pursued by the sides involved in the war against Syria, asserting that the said sides spared no effort as to support, finance terrorist organizations as to destroy Syria and strike against the Syrian People unity, security and stability.

H.E. President Bashar Al-Assad reiterated that the Syrian Armed Forces would pursue the fight against terrorist organizations, asserting the importance of national reconciliations, welcoming any efforts in boosting these reconciliations and in exerting pressures on the countries supporting terrorists with money, weapons and terrorists.

H.E. President Al-Assad highlighted the role of the BASP especially during the ongoing crisis, asserting the need for the bolstering of this role as well as the importance of dialogue among the BASP members as to face the standing and coming challenges.
