President Al-Assad meets with Araghchi, stresses Syria’s determination to fight terrorism with all its strength

President Bashar al-Assad received Sunday Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.

President al-Assad affirmed that Syria, as a state, army and people is going ahead to fight terrorist organizations with all its strength and determination on all its territories.

He stressed that confronting terrorism, dismantling its structure and drying up its sources does not serve Syria alone as much as it serves the stability of the entire region, its security and the safety of its countries.

President al-Assad said that the Syrian people have been able over the past years to confront terrorism in all its forms, and today they are determined to eradicate it more than ever before.

President al-Assad pointed out the importance of support by the allies and friends in confronting terrorist attacks supported from abroad.

Araghchi conveyed a message from the Iranian leadership affirming Iran’s firm stance alongside Syria in its fight against terrorism, and its full readiness to provide all kinds of support to Syrian government in this regard.

He noted that Syria has previously faced much more difficult situation than it faces today, and it is able of achieving victory against terrorism and its supporters.

Araghchi reiterated his country’s commitment to the unity and stability of Syrian territory.
