President Al-Assad Joins Iftar with Syrian Army Heroes at Marj al-Sultan Airport in Eastern Ghouta

DAMASCUS, (ST)-President Bashar Al-Assad on Sunday joined iftar with heroes of the Syrian Arab army at the Marj al-Sultan Airport in eastern Ghouta in Damascus countryside.

“For me it is the most delicious meal I have ever had,” said President Al-Assad.

Before Iftar, President Al-Assad visited the soldiers positioned at advanced points in the farms of Marj al-Sulltan town. There, he was briefed on the conditions and combat preparedness of the army personnel  who have achieved great gains in the battle against the terrorist organizations which attacked locals in this area and destroyed their properties

“The battles of our hero army against the terrorist groups are writing history and the heroic deeds and sacrifices of our brave soldiers are the key factor that preserved Syria  and helped it withstand the ongoing heinous war, ” President Al-Assad stressed, pointing out that all the Syrians are getting their strength and optimism from the army’s achievements.

The president affirmed that the steadfastness of the families of the Syrian Arab Army’s fighters has played a basic role in strengthening the determination of their sons to eliminate the terrorists.

On their part, the soldiers asserted that President Al-Assad’s visit to their positions have boosted their morale and enhanced their determination to clear Syria from Terrorism.

They vowed to continue defending Syria against the terrorists until security, stability and normal life are restored to the country.
