President al-Assad issues a law permitting the purchase of electricity produced from renewable energy projects

On November 28th, President Bashar al-Assad issued today Law No. 32 of 2021 allowing the purchase of produced electricity from the renewable energy projects that can be linked to the transmission network or the distribution network if the technical capabilities are available for that.

In order to contribute to the implementation of the renewable energy strategy until 2030, and with the aim of encouraging the implementation of large renewable energies projects to produce electricity so that the Public Establishment for the Transmission and Distribution of Electricity can purchase the energy produced from it.
