President Al-Assad issues a decree on organizing the affairs of the children of unknown parentage
President Bashar Al-Assad on Saturday issued Legislative Decree No. 2 for 2023 on organizing the affairs of the children of unknown parentage, on providing necessary care and support for this category and on creating appropriate conditions for these children’s healthy growing and proper education.
The decree aims at identifying the duties and responsibilities of the state and society towards this category through:
-Guaranteeing that the children of unknown parentage enjoy all the rights and freedoms their peers enjoy without discrimination.
-Organizing the affairs of the children of unknown parentage and providing necessary care and support for them and creating appropriate conditions for their healthy growing and right education.
-Providing protection for the children of unknown parentage against abuse and negligence and maintaining their interests.
