President al-Assad, in Work Meeting, Confirms Securing Adequate Housing for Citizens

President Bashar al- Assad held today a work meeting concerning stages that have been completed in the underway construction project of two organizational areas in Damascus, with the first in Mezze and Kafarsouseh, and second in Lewan, west and east Qadam, Assali, Naher Aesha, Bayader Nader and al-Dahadeel areas, attended by the Prime Minister, several ministers,the governor of Damascus and managers and technicians involved in the implementation of the plan.

Practical steps made by the governorate of Damascus in cooperation with the relevant ministries and agencies to implement the first implementation of the infrastructure in the area of Mezze and Kafarsouseh were discussed during the meeting.

President al-Assad pinpointed the importance of this project in securing adequate housing for citizens, to achieve social justice and improve the economic condition, especially that such projects open broad areas for the Syrian labor during implementation and new work opportunities after completion, pointing the importance of the dissemination of this experience as the state’s strategy for urban development and re- reconstruction in various Syrian areas.

President al-Assad stressed the need for speedy completion of this project and to continuously inform citizens on times set for completion, executive steps, providing necessary facilities by the authorities concerned and continuous monitoring of the implementation phases.

He also presented ideas enriching the set plan and mechanisms for its implementation and ongoing steps to overcome impeding obstacles to ensure speedy work at standard specifications and make tangible achievement on the ground, that are positively reflected on the citizens.
