President Al Assad discusses with the Iranian President cooperation between the two countries in the field of combating terrorism

President Bashar Al Assad discussed with the Iranian president Masoud Pezeshkian the latest developments and cooperation between the two countries in combating terrorism.

During a phone call between them, President al-Assad stressed that the terrorist escalation that is taking place reflects far-reaching goals in an attempt to divide the region, fragment its countries, and redraw the maps anew according to the interests and goals of America and the West.

His Excellency stressed that this escalation will only increase Syria and its army’s determination to further confront and eliminate the arms of terrorism throughout Syrian territory.

President Pezeshkian stressed Iran’s complete rejection of all attempts to undermine Syria’s unity and stability, considering that tampering with Syria’s unity is a blow to the region, its stability and the unity of its countries.

President Pezeshkian pointed out that the Zionist-American ambitions are clear in targeting the countries of the region and their peoples, and that what is happening in Syria is a facet of those ambitions. He stressed Iran’s readiness to provide all forms of support to Syria to eliminate terrorism and thwart the goals of its operators and supporters.
