President Al-Assad discusses with concerned ministers policies on supporting small-sized enterprises

The Syrian state has for years been focusing on encouraging small-sized enterprises as a pillar for the Syrian economy. For this purpose, concerned institutions and commissions were set up, but they needed an integrated environment in terms of plans, administrations and structure.

Within this context, President Bashar Al-Assad on Saturday, March 9th, met with a number of ministers concerned in discussing policies related to supporting and developing small-sized enterprises which form the backbone of the economies of most countries of the world, due to their direct effect on the living standard and production capability of the social categories that work in such projects.

President Al-Assad reiterated the need to correct and develop the organizational structure of the current commissions, which are concerned in investment and Small and Micro-sized Enterprises, so that they can implement necessary policies to create, empower and develop small enterprises which later can turn into medium and large enterprises, and they can put rules of control and supervision with the aim of recovering the Syrian economy.
