President Al-Assad congratulates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on his election as President of UAE

President Bashar Al-Assad on Saturday sent a cable of congratulations to Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on his election as President of the United Arab Emirates.

The cable reads “I congratulate you for gaining the trust of the Federal Supreme Council and for your election unanimously as President of the United Arab Emirates. I wish you success in completing the process of development launched by the late leader, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.”

“You have played a major role in leading the UAE to a key position in the region and the world in the fields of economic and scientific development over the past years and you managed to use this position in establishing strong and strategic relations with other countries of the world to serve of the interests of the UAE and the entire Arab region,” President Al-Assad added.

 “We look forward to enhancing joint work to strengthen Syria-UAE relations and boost partnerships in all domains based on achieving the common interests of the peoples of the two brotherly countries,” President al-Assad concluded.
