President Al-Assad congratulates President Xi Jinping on his re-election as President of the People’s Republic of China

Damascus (ST): President Bashar al-Assad congratulated President Xi Jinping on his re-election as President of the People’s Republic of China.

In his congratulatory message, President al-Assad said, “Your re-election as President of the People’s Republic of China gives me the opportunity to extend to you, in my name and in the name of the Syrian Arab people, sincere congratulations and wishes to your friendly country for continued prosperity and elevation.”

President al-Assad added that the consensus of the Chinese people’s deputies that you remain at the helm of power, as well as the chairman of the Central Military Commission, is indicative of the tangible impact and clear achievement that you were able to achieve through your clear vision and your dedicated work in escalating the prosperous path of development that China witnessed during the past years, and its possession of factors of force that made it an epicenter for all peoples who share your belief in the principles of truth, goodness, and justice .China is a factor of safety that seeks and works to spread peace and stability in the world in exchange for countries and policies based on narrow interests that spread chaos and wars and perpetuate a state of imbalance in the world.

President al-Assad continued: The historical friendship relations between Syria and China have always been a source of pride for the Syrian people, and joint bilateral cooperation in many fields has had a great impact on strengthening these relations and a practical reflection that contributed to achieving the interests of the two friendly peoples, and we are always keen to continue hard work with you in order to continue to advance and develop these relations and open new horizons for them.

President al-Assad concluded his cable by saying: I renew to you my congratulations and we are confident that the People’s Republic of China will witness under your leadership a new chapter of successes and achievements at all levels, with my personal wishes to you for good health and contentment.
