President Al-Assad congratulates Christian denominations that follow Eastern calendar on Easter

President Bashar al-Assad congratulated the Christian denominations that follow the Eastern calendar on the occasion of the glorious Easter, wishing them and all Syrians health, welfare, and peace.

Secretary General of the Republic’s Presidency, Mansour Azzam conveyed congratulations of President al-Assad to Patriarch John X, Patriarch of Antioch and all the East for Greek Orthodox, and Syriac Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and All East Mar Ignatius Aphrem II , and to all citizens of these two honorable denominations.

The two patriarchs expressed their deep thank to President al-Assad for his generous gesture, invoking God to preserve Syria’s people, army, and leadership.
