President Al-Assad: Conditions in the world are prepared for creating new international political and economic alliances

President Bashar Al-Assad on Wednesday received Minister of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia, Ainal Ardizinba and the accompanying delegation.

Talks dealt with issues of common interest to both friendly countries, and with steps that contribute to advancing bilateral relations despite the difficult circumstances and the blockade targeting the two countries.

President Al-Assad stressed that today, the conditions in the world are better prepared for some moves based on adopting independent national policies to strengthen current international alliances and create new international political, economic and intellectual alliances that are strong enough to confront Western hegemony.

For his part, Ardizinba expressed his country’s gratitude for the support provided by Syria to Abkhazia, stressing that consolidating the relations between the two countries at all levels is one of the most important goals of his visit to Syria.
