President Al-Assad arrives in Riyadh to take part in the emergency Arab Summit

President Bashar Al-Assad arrived in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, this evening to participate in the emergency Arab summit due to be held tomorrow, Saturday.

The President was welcomed at King Khalid International Airport by Prince Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of the Riyadh Region, the Head of the Honorary Mission Fawaz bin Tanf Al-Otaibi, the Deputy Director of the Regional Police, Major General Mansour bin Nasser Al-Otaibi, and the Undersecretary of Royal Protocol Fahd Al-Sahil.

The Arab leaders will discuss the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories and the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip that has led to the martyrdom of thousands of people and wounded thousands others, and created an unprecedented humanitarian crisis.

Yesterday, the Arab foreign ministers held their preparatory meeting for the emergency Arab summit in Riyadh, during which they discussed the draft resolution related to the developments resulting from the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip, and which is scheduled to be submitted to the Arab leaders participating in the summit.
