President Al-Assad arrives in Damascus coming from Saudi Arabia after participating in Jeddah Summit

President Bashar al-Assad and the accompanying official delegation arrived this evening in Damascus coming from Saudi Arabia after taking part in the 32nd Arab summit in Jeddah.

Earlier President Al-Assad left King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah where he was seen off by the head of the honorary mission, Minister Plenipotentiary Salman bin Hazaa Al-Mutairi.

President Al-Assad made a speech during the summit in which he described the event as a historic opportunity to rearrange Arab affairs with the least foreign interference and called for benefiting from the positive atmosphere resulted from the reconciliations that preceded the summit to enhance joint Arab action to serve just Arab causes.

President Al-Assad held meetings with a number of Arab leaders and heads of participating delegations including Tunisian President Kais Saied, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman and Vice President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
