President Al-Assad Appoints New Lattakia’s Governor

DAMASCUS, (ST) – Ahmad Sheikh Abdul Qader  on Sunday was sworn in before President Bashar Al-Assad as the new Governor of Lattakia.

His Excellency President Al-Assad received Governor Abdul Qader, provided him with key directives and wished him success in his new tasks.

Earlier, President Al-Assad  issued legislative Decree No. 186 for 2013 providing for appointing  Abdul Qader as Lattakia’s new Governor.

According to the decree, the new governor will replace Suleiman Mohammad al Naser who was appointed as Lattakia’s governor in July, 2012.
