President Al-Assad Accepts Credentials of Iran’s New Ambassador to Syria

DAMASCUS, (ST)- President Bashar Al-Assad on Tuesday accepted the credentials of the new Iranian Ambassador to Syria  Javad Torkabad.

President al-Assad wished the newly-appointed Ambassador success in his missions.

President Al-Assad Receives Congratulations from Iran’s Rouhani on Syria’s Independence Day

President Hassan Rouhani of Iran has affirmed his country’s constant support for Syria’s independence and territorial integrity.

Rouhani made the remarks in a cable of congratulations he sent to President Bashar Al-Assad on Syria’s Independence Day.

  Rouhani stressed his confidence that Syria will restore peace and stability and launch reconstruction as soon as possible and after the crisis is solved through political means and national dialogue.

 The Iranian president expressed hope that “as the great Syrian people won independence in the past through steadfastness and huge sacrifices, they will be able to defeat the terrorist organizations and their sponsors and protectors.

He wished the Syrian people lasting peace, happiness and progress.
