President al-Assad Accepts Credentials of Belarus Ambassador to Syria

DAMASCUS.(ST)_ President Bashar al-Assad on Sunday accepted the credentials of Alexander Ponomarev as ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Syria.

Then, President al-Assad received Ambassador Ponomarev, exchanged talks with him and wished him success in his duties.

The ceremony held for this purpose was attended by Walid al-Moallem, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates and Mansour Azzam, Minister of Presidential Affairs.

The ambassador was received and seen off at the People’s (al-Chaab) Palace in the usual ceremonies.
