“President al-Assad…. a process of heroism and sacrifices” a new book by vice-president Najah al-Attar
The leadership policy of President Bashar al-Assad’s patriotic vision, the process of achievement and victories in addition to firm stances and other historical facts were presented by Vice- President Dr. Najah al-Attar in her new book entitled “President al-Assad….a process of heroism and sacrifices”.
Dr. Al-Attar documented in her book, issued by the Syrian General Organization of books, an important stage of Syria’s political and cultural history, referring to a series of national conferences that contributed to consolidate the concepts of struggle and determined what we could strive for within the framework of the Arab nation.
She pointed out that President al-Assad’s vision stems from the consolidation of our national principles, so that the process of modernization is confident and solid, highlighting president Al-Assad’s confirmation that thought and culture are the framework of state institutions at all levels in order to bring-up generations on the culture and deep awareness of the issues of the times, and the ability to keep pace with the world, in its current scientific development.
Regarding President al-Assad’s visits to the cities that have been besieged by terrorists groups starting from Baba Amr to Jobar in the countryside of Damascus Al-Attar said: “You proved that Syria, under your leadership, is the steadfast castle that is neither taken nor forced into submission, and that you are with your humility and love to your army is a world role model of leadership and a unique symbol of nobility.”
Dr. Al-Attar reviewed President al-Assad’s role in highlighting the civilized aspect of the nation, defending its just causes, facing the hostile attempts to abuse its history and beliefs as well as clarifying its stances concerning current world issues.
She pointed to the documentary exhibition entitled “Syria on the Edge of Dawn,” which President al-Assad directed to work on and completed in 2015; to describe the situation in numbers and photos and document, with historical and geographical indications, the extent of crime and terrorism that Syria has been subjected to.
Regarding President al-Assad’s keenness to build a cultural renaissance that elevates the country by preserving the Arabic language to fortify awareness and achieve progress. Dr. Al-Attar affirmed that the Arabic language in President al-Assad’s way of thinking occupies a large space, which was reflected in the decision of the Damascus Summit on the Arabic Language, which followed other decisions, at the forefront is the interest in renewing the Arabic Language Academy.
The vice-president reviewed a number of events which the cultural movement witnessed after a halt imposed by the terrorist war, including the reopening of the International Book Fair in 2019, stressing the book is a weapon of resistance and steadfastness.
Mrs. Al-Attar’s 240 – page book included letters from Vice President Dr. Najah al-Attar addressed to President Bashar al-Assad; two of them are in the early stages of his presidency, concluding her lines by saying: “We stand and support you in on the path of struggle so that our steps may remain lofty going forwards, fulfilling hopes no matter what the sacrifices may be.”
