Premier Visits al-Sha’irat Airbase in Homs Countryside

HOMS– Upon the directives of commander-in-Chief of the army and armed forces, President Bashar Al-Assad, Prime Minister Imad Khamis and the accompanying governmental delegation visited Sunday al-Sha’irat airbase in the countryside of Homs province.

According to SANA, Khamis met members of the Syrian Arab army and conveyed to them President Al-Assad’s appreciation and pride over their sacrifices and heroic acts to defend the homeland.

 He highlighted the victories achieved and the sacrifices offered by the army members to preserve the sovereignty of the Syrian state in the face of the takfiri terrorism which targets the country, stressing the government’s support to the army until final victory.

Premier Khamis inspected the situation of the military units and their readiness to fight the terrorist organizations, highly appreciating the efforts exerted to maintain high level of combat readiness.

For their parts, members of the Syrian Arab army stressed determination to continue to perform their national duty in defending the Syrian people, eradicating terrorism and restoring security and stability to the Syrian territories.
