Premier receives Feng Biao on the occasion of the end of his duties as the ambassador of China in Damascus
DAMASCUS, Jul.24, (ST)- Prime Minister Hussein Arnous received on Sunday the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Syria, Feng Biao, on the occasion of the end of his duties as the ambassador of his country in Damascus.
During the meeting, Arnous showed appreciation for China’s stances in international forums in defense of peoples’ rights, independence, sovereignty and national decision, as well as the support it has provided to the Syrian people in the fields of health, relief, transportation, communications and others.
The premier pointed out that the bilateral relations between Syria and China are based on cooperation and coordination in many issues of common interest for the two friendly countries and peoples.
He stressed the need to enhance economic, cultural and scientific cooperation, increase trade exchange, activate the work of the joint committee, and encourage the business sector in the two countries to establish investment projects that contribute to pushing forward relations in various fields. Fir his part, the ambassador referred to the development of relations between the two countries in all fields and the signing of many deals within the Belt and Road project, reiterating his country’s readiness to fully participate in the reconstruction process in Syria and in the process of economic development in it.
Ambassador Feng Biao affirmed the continuity of work to push the friendly Syrian-Chinese relations forward, expressing his confidence that the Syrian people will overcome all difficulties and restore stability and normal life to the entire Syrian territory.
