Premier Khamis: Finding solutions and developing visions to enhance services and development

Damascus – Prime Minister Imad Khamis on Thursday chaired a meeting for the Higher Council of Local Administration to develop a comprehensive vision for the work of the local administration and face challenges and difficulties.

The meeting also discussed easing procedures, finding a mechanism for investment and self-financing, protecting natural resources and facing natural disasters, SANA reported.

Premier Khamis stressed the importance of assuming responsibility in the work of the local administration bodies in the provinces and the need to find solutions and outline visions to enhance the services and development in the economic and social fields.

 

He pointed out to the importance of evaluating the legislations and laws related to the work of local administration and modernizing them in accordance with the government’s work in the next phase.

“A lot of work is required from the local administration during the next stage,” Khamis added.

He underscored the need to utilize the positive aspects of the local administration law for it to materialize in the best possible way.

Khamis said that Syria is a state of strong establishments, adding that the government is aspiring to reach advanced indices in the work of the local administration which has huge responsibilities.

The Premier affirmed that all establishments have to work to achieve a quantum leap to solidify the victories of Syrian Arab Army.

For their part, governors and heads of provincial councils put forward their suggestions to develop the work mechanism in line with current reality and future vision.
