Premier: Boosting National Reconciliation and Collective Efforts to Eliminate Terrorism

DARAA,(ST)_  Prime Minister  Dr. Wael al-Halqi  underlined the importance of mobilizing  all efforts  to enhancing  national reconciliation and tolerance;  so as  to ensure  restoration of  security and stability to all parts of Syria, for serving  the ambitions of the Syrians.

  During his meeting on Saturday with several social, economic and academic activists  in Daraa, the prime minister noted the key role  played by the people of Daraa in contributing  to the country ‘s over-all development, adding  that Daraa will remain the invincible fortress against all conspiracies  targeting Syria , as has been always throughout history.

 He  reviewed the measures  taken by the government in all fields to meet  the aspirations of the Syrian people  on the ground  of national sovereignty  and non- interference  in Syria ‘s internal affairs.

He  also stressed that the Syrian economy is strong and enjoys the elements  of steadfastness , noting  the tremendous efforts  made to ensure basic needs of food supplies, oil byproducts  and requirements of agricultural production, despite the unjust blocking  and foreign  sanctions imposed on various economic sectors that affect the daily  lives of citizens . noting  the government ‘s efforts to rehabilitate the infrastructure destroyed  by armed terrorist groups in the sectors of oil, electricity, health, communications and transport , to secure  job opportunities  to citizens to as to withstand the consequences of the current crisis in Syria.

 He proceeded that Syria is open to a peaceful solution  in coordination with friends and through openness to all initiatives that comply  with her national interests, in coincidence wit the heroic operations carried out by the Syrian army to ensure  stability and security on all the Syrian  soils , through  persecuting  of  US and western and regional countries- backed  terrorist groups.

The  participants in the meeting  stressed keenness to maintain  Syria ‘s security and stability and commitment to  national dialogue  as the only solution  to renounce hatred  and get Syria out of the  current crisis, noting  the positive role played by the government  to improving living standards  of  citizens and  fighting corruption. They underlined the role played by the Syrian army in deterring terrorists and restoring Syria’s stability and sovereignty .

 The prime minister listened to demands raised by the participants on governorate’s social and health needs.
