Premier Arnous to the Bahraini Ambassador: “The importance of cooperation between Arab countries to face current challenges”.

The Prime Minister, Eng. Hussein Arnous, met this morning, Waheed Mubarak Sayyar, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Syria.

Premier Arnous expressed the Syrian government’s desire to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries and push them forward in the economic, commercial, health, scientific, cultural, tourism and transport fields, stressing the importance of cooperation between Arab countries to meet the current challenges in light of developments and current events on the international scene.

The Prime Minister referred to the work undertaken by the Syrian state to rebuild and reconstruct what was destroyed by terrorism despite the difficult circumstances and the unjust economic siege imposed on Syria, explaining the importance of working to activate the agreements signed between the two countries, which are in the interest of the two brotherly peoples, as well as activating the work of the Joint Ministerial Committee.

In turn, the Bahraini ambassador affirmed his country’s support for Syria’s unity and independence, and the Bahraini refusal to interfere in Syria’s internal affairs, stressing that his country’s embassy in Damascus will have an important role in promoting joint cooperation in various fields, based on the strong relations between the two brotherly countries and peoples.
