PROVINCES, April.24, (ST)- Prayers and masses are conducted in churches by the Syrian denominations that follow the Eastern calendar to celebrate Easter.
The prayers and masses were conducted in churches in the provinces of Damascus, Hasakah, Aleppo, Sweida and Lattakia.
The Speakers in the masses talked about the importance of representing the values of Easter in all aspects of life and spreading the message of love and peace among the people of the country.
They denounced the suspicious silence of some countries that claim their commitment to international law and human rights regarding the kidnapping of Archbishops Mar Youhanna Ibrahim and Paul Yazigi and others.
The participants in the prayers and masses wished that security and stability would prevail throughout Syria and that the American occupier will go out of Hasakah province.
Meanwhile, The Armenian community commemorated the 107th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide at the hands of the Ottomans by holding prayers and masses in churches and places of worship.
According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), Archbishop Massis Zoboyan, Archbishop of the Armenian Diocese of Aleppo and its Dependencies, and Reverend Harution Soleimian, Head of the Armenian Protestant community, and Bishop Boutros Marayati, Archbishop of Aleppo participated laid wreaths on the memorial to the martyrs of the Armenian Genocide in the cemetery.
They also participated in the blood donation campaign that was organized in the Armenian Orthodox Church of Our Lady, which witnessed a turnout of citizens in support of the wounded of the Syrian army.
