During the meeting, Al-Salem briefed the Chinese delegation on the terrorist groups’ systematic destruction of the Syrian infrastructure, particularly the sector  of electricity. These terrorist acts aimed at increasing the suffering of the Syrian people because electricity is a vital sector that has to do with all aspects of the Syrian citizens’ life, he said.

On his part, Li expressed the Chinese government and companies’ readiness to offer all kinds of support to the Syrian government and people, including in the process of reconstruction.

He said Lattakia, with its important position, is the gate for Chinese-Syrian cooperation, pointing out that “Power China” has completed the assessment study of the project to build the power station and put the contracting conditions and the total cost of the project.
