Popular marches in Yemen calling for an end to Saudi aggression and siege on Yemeni people

Mass rallies were launched in the Yemeni capital, Sana’a, and other governorates under the title “the American aggression and blockade are terrorist crimes” to denounce the continuation of the Saudi aggression and the siege imposed on the Yemeni people, calling for their end. An international campaign against aggression and the siege will be organized later today.

According to the Yemeni Al-Masirah Net website, the participants in the rallies in Saada governorate held banners with slogans denouncing the American policy in the region, rejecting the crimes of the Saudi aggression on Yemen and calling for a boycott of American products.

The participants also chanted slogans confirming that the Yemeni people will not submit and will not surrender or collapse, stressing that “America is the incubator of terrorism and an aggressive country, and it is the cause of war and aggression against their country.”

In the meantime, activists around the world today organize an international campaign against the aggression and the siege on Yemen, in conjunction with marches of anger in the Yemeni governorates, calling for an end to the Saudi aggression against the Yemeni people.

Activists will organize demonstrations in dozens of capitals around the world, including Washington, London, Paris and others to call for an end to the aggression against Yemen. They will also organize tweet campaigns on Twitter and an expanded meeting on the Internet for more than 700 people from 620 organizations around the world to stand against the aggression.

The organizing committees of the marches in the Yemeni governorates have identified 24 major arenas in the capital, Sana’a, and 14 other governorates for the marches, calling on the free and honorable people of Yemen to broadly participate in them.

These committees affirmed that the Yemeni people will not yield and will preserve their   determination, toughness and steadfastness in the face of the enemy, whatever the challenges were. They stressed that the Saudi aggression and the blockade are among the greatest terrorist crimes.

The Saudi regime has continued its aggression against Yemen since March 2015, using all kinds of weapons, which has caused tens of thousands of civilian casualties and massive damage to the infrastructure. The widespread siege imposed by this regime has also caused a great human tragedy and deprived the Yemeni people of their basic needs in terms of medicine and food.
