Al-Nairab camp in Aleppo witnessed a mass rally today as part of the international al-Quds Day events, in which participants condemned the Israeli attacks on the Palestinian people, occupied Jerusalem and the genocide against Gaza Strip.
“The celebration of the International Jerusalem Day on the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan has a special symbolism and is gaining importance this year due to the attempts of the Zionist enemy to falsify the facts about what it is committing against the Palestinian people in general and the people of the Gaza Strip in particular,” said the commander of the Al-Quds Brigade in Aleppo, Mohammed Al-said in a statement to SANA reporter.
The Melkite Roman Catholic Archbishop Father Yorki Abyad said: “The banner of Palestine today gathers us with all our belongings, believing in the right of the owners of the land and the sacred sites to live peacefully within their territory and to denounce the Zionist entity’s aggression against each and every one who supported the truth and stood with it.”
Samir Najib, a member of the Fatah Intifada leadership, said that “the practices of the Israeli occupation in the occupied territories today violate all international norms and laws and it is a war crime against the peoples of the region in a desperate attempt to falsify facts and history.”
Sheikh Akl of the Unitarian Muslim sect, Sheikh Yusuf Jarbou, stressed the importance of national unity and standing united in support of Palestine and its cause, rejecting Israeli aggressions in all their forms, and calling on the international community to rein in the Zionist entity that violates international laws.
In Deir ez-Zor, a popular event entitled “The flood of the free” was held in the square of the Unknown Soldier, which included musical and theatrical performances and artistic paintings. The participants of the event paid tribute to the patient, steadfast and brave Palestinian people, who are facing the fiercest Zionist colonial aggression, and achieving historical victories on the territory of Gaza.
The coordinator of the event, Yahya Mandeel, pointed out that this celebration, which is held annually, is an expression of the place of Jerusalem in particular and Palestine in general to the axis of resistance, and that Palestine will remain the Mecca of struggle until the expulsion of the usurping Zionist entity.
