Polyansky: The Russian army targeted Western arms depots in Kremenchug

New York (ST): Dmitry Polyansky, First Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia to the United Nations, denied once again that the Russian army had struck a shopping center in Kremenchug, stressing that what was targeted were weapons depots imported from the West.

Polyansky said in a statement during a session of the UN Security Council today, commenting on the talks about targeting a shopping center in Kremenchug: “The Russian army launched a strike with precision-guided weapons on depots containing Western weapons and ammunition received from the United States and European countries near the Kremenchug land vehicle plant.”

He added that “these weapons and ammunition were confined throughout the storage area to be shipped back to the Ukrainian armed formations in Donbas and used against residential areas in Donetsk, Lugansk and other cities,” stressing that “the Russian strike prevented this matter.”
