Polyansky: The ongoing Israeli attacks on Syrian territory are a flagrant violation of international law

New York (ST): The Russian Deputy Representative to the United Nations, Dmitry Polyansky, stressed the need to stop the repeated Israeli attacks on Syrian territory, the most recent of which was the attack that targeted points in and around Damascus, including residential neighborhoods, and resulted in the death of five people and the wounding of 15 others.
Polyansky said during a session of the Security Council: “We strongly condemn the military actions taken by Israel, which are a flagrant violation of international law, and we strongly urge the Israeli side to stop armed provocations against Syria and refrain from steps that entail catastrophic consequences for the entire region.”
Polyansky pointed out that Moscow considers  the continuation of such practices as completely unacceptable, especially when many countries of the world, including Russia, are helping the Syrians to overcome the consequences of the devastating earthquake that struck them.
