PMDC, DPEC Sign MoU to Enhance Cooperation

DAMASCUS, (ST) – Director General of the Productivity Management Development Centre (PMDC) at the Ministry of Industry, Wesal Hallaq, underlined that the Center began the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding signed with the Development and Promotion of Exports Commission (DPEC) in order to open new areas for cooperation in scientific, technical and training fields.

“There are information and studies performed by each party that they can exchange to take advantage in light of their needs as well as scientific materials and publications issued by the centre, stressing the  keenness of the center to exchange training expertise in the fields of administrative, computer and implementation of training courses specialized in export promotion and marketing,” Mrs.Hallaq clarified.

She pointed out that it was agreed to invite representatives of the Center and the Commission to participate in these courses, expressing hope that cooperation between the Centre and other agencies will contribute to developing the mechanism of work.

The memo includes the exchange of experiences, information, scientific studies, research reports issued by the Center and the Commission in addition to scientific publications, including magazines, media and scientific magazines in the light of the needs of each party.

It also provided to approve the operational plan for projects and activities as well as consultation on ways to deal with emerging issues of common interest.

The Management Development Centre and Productivity in Damascus was created under the Legislative Decree No. 79 of 1967 in order to develop cadres of administrative and technical manpower and training on ways and means of modern scientific organization of work to improve the productivity of enterprises and institutions of the Ministry of Industry and ensuring administrators and technicians for new projects, providing technical studies required by the institutions, companies and processing problems and proposing effective solutions.
