PM Opens Artificial Limbs Unit at Ibn al-Nafees Hospital to Help War-Wounded People

DAMASCUS, (ST)- Prime Minster Wael al-Halqi on Thursday opened a new artificial limbs manufacturing unit at Ibn al-Nafees hospital in Damascus.

“The new unit is to meet the needs for limbs caused by the terrorism which has been targeting civilians and military personnel everywhere in Syria,” the premier said.

He pointed out that the unit provides free services to all war-wounded people who partially or totally lost their limbs.

Al-Halqi also inspected the work mechanism in the hospital’s other sections.

The procedure is part of the Syrian government’s efforts to ease the suffering of terrorism-affected people, particularly those who lost parts of their bodies in the ongoing events.
