PM, Deputy Foreign Minister of DPRK Discuss Economic Cooperation

DAMASCUS, (ST) – Prime Minister Dr. Wael al –Halaqi and Deputy Foreign Minister of the DPRK and members of the accompanying delegation discussed the prospects of bilateral cooperation in all fields through the activation of the signed agreements that contribute to the development of trade and the creation of joint business councils and activating the role of the Joint Syrian – Korean Committee.

“The rooted political and historical relations urge the two countries to develop economic and scientific relations to promote and start working together in broader areas in the joint action,” Dr. al –Halaqi said.

“Syria and the DPRK stand in the same trench for decades in the face of global imperialism and Zionism and pushing the price for their opposition to Zionist American projects, stressing Syria’s stand to the DPRK side in the face of the conspiracies in addition to the importance of cooperation and coordination in international forums to prevent some States the singling out specific decisions,” Dr. al –Halaqi confirmed.

For his part, Mr. Chul expressed for his country’s keenness on activating bilateral cooperation, supporting the Syrian people in the face of the terrorist war, asserting “that Syria will achieve victory over terrorism under the wise leadership of President Bashar al-Assad.”

“Thanks for the Syrians to provide humanitarian assistance to the Korean people to mitigate the effects of the economic blockade in the last years,” he added.
