PM, Boroujerdi Discuss Ways of Boosting Economic Cooperation

DAMASCUS, (ST)- Prime Minister Dr. Wael al –Halaqi discussed here with the Chairman of the Committee of National Security and Foreign Policy in the Iranian Shura Council Dr. Alaeddin Boroujerdi and his accompanying delegation ways of boosting economic cooperation between the two countries through activating the signed agreements.

Dr. al –Halaqi confirmed “the government’s keenness on the participation of Iranian companies in the reconstruction phase, expansion in the domains of economic, industrial, commercial, pharmaceutical, medical, media cooperation and establishing joint development projects, especially power plants, hospitals, mills, grain silos.”

“Syria and Iran constitute a strategic depth to each other and an axis of  stead fastness in he face of the US- Zionist schemes”, appreciating the Iranian initial and well-established positions that support the Syrian people,” Dr. al –Halaqi clarified.

For his part, Mr. Boroujerdi reiterated the keenness of the Iranian people and leadership on the development of economic relations with Syria, to meet the needs of its people and to promote the potential of their stead fastness. He noted the importance of the efforts exerted by the two countries to meet the challenges.
