PM asserts increased contacts with friendly states to meet Syrians’ basic needs

DAMASCUS,(ST)_Prime Minister has underscored that the government is seeking to create solutions and increase contacts with friendly states to meet the Syrian people’s basic needs.

Dr. Wael al-Halaqi, who was speaking in a meeting today with a delegation representing some areas in Damascus countryside headed by the MP Ali al-Sheikh, said that government is keen to adopt measures that help alleviate impacts of the unfair economic sanctions on Syria.

He added that Damascus countryside is an example of national reconciliation.

“counterterrorism and reconstruction require a lot of efforts by all honest Syrian people,” the premier asserted.

The delegation affirmed their determination to complete the national reconciliation at level of Damascus countryside province.

Following the meeting, al-Sheikh said: “Locals in al-Nashabeyeh and Harran al-Awamid towns and surrounding towns in Damascus countryside assert their support for the government and leadership in fighting terrorism that hit Syria.”
