PLO urges more financial support for UNRWA

The Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) has called on the international community to provide more financial support the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for the Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) .

In a statement reported by WAFA news agency on Saturday, the PLO said that the adoption of five resolutions in favor of Palestine by the United Nations General Assembly proves that the world support the Palestinian people and their historical rights.

The adoption of these resolutions is a message of rejection of the Israeli settlement expansion, which blatantly violates the international law and the United Nations resolutions, especially the Security Council resolution No. 2334, the PLO added.

It clarified that these resolutions strongly support the right of the Palestinian refugees to return to their homeland from where they were displaced and they support UNRWA as the political witness to the Israeli crime of uprooting and displacement of the Palestinians.

The PLO called on the countries which didn’t vote in favor of the Palestinian cause and on those which abstained to reconsider their biased policies.
